Two trade businesses, the numbers, and the parts that have not worked yet

Builder Web Design is new. The method is not: it is the same one Webso Digital has used for other trades, and those are the numbers below: a garage site launched in July 2026 was in the map pack within 5 weeks with clicks from Google up from 7 to 42, and a tuning site went from 11.0 seconds to 2.4 seconds to paint on a phone. They are Google's own, or measured with free tools you can run yourself, and the caveats are on the page, because a results page with only the good half is an advert. When the first builder's numbers are in, they go here with the same honesty.

Case 1: a tuning business with an existing site, one week

A slow, duplicated site, fixed in place

An established trade business whose site had been built elsewhere. Six area pages were 72% identical to each other, the homepage took eleven seconds to become usable on a phone, and a hero image the size of a film loaded on every visit. No rebuild: we rewrote what needed rewriting and fixed the rest.

Measured on the live site after deployment with Google's PageSpeed Insights and our own duplication test. Ranking effects take months; the speed and duplication fixes are immediate and verifiable.

Case 2: a specialist garage with no website, months 1 and 2

New site in July, third in the map pack by week five

A one-person specialist with a Google profile, one review and a Facebook page. We built the site, rebuilt the profile properly, then ran the monthly work: titles, indexing, one new area page, guides, the review routine. Figures are Google's, 30 days against the 30 before, pulled at the end of August 2026.

Google reviews, all real, all asked for

Caveats: percentages from a standing start flatter; 7 to 42 clicks is real but small. The competitive search sits at position 11 with no clicks yet. The map-pack leader has 235 reviews to this business's 11; reviews, not the website, are now the limit.

What we measure for a builder

The numbers you get every month, and where they come from

  • Clicks and impressions for the job searches in your towns, from Search Console, which you have your own login to.
  • Map pack position for the searches that matter, checked by a person from a phone in the town, not by a tool that pretends to be there.
  • Enquiries: forms and tracked calls, with the job and the town in each.
  • Reviews: count, pace, and whether they mention the job.
  • Speed: PageSpeed on the phone, every quarter, because a slow site loses the enquiry before the photos load.
  • AI mentions: which prompts name you, checked monthly.

What you will not find here

The things that are easy to fake

  • Testimonials without a name, a business and a date you can check.
  • “300% more leads” without the two numbers the percentage came from.
  • Ranking screenshots from a tool set to a different country.
  • Logos of firms we did not work for.
  • A counter of “clients served” that goes up on its own.

When you become a case on this page, you see the draft first and the numbers stay attached to their caveats. The method behind them is on the SEO page.
